The "beta" label means that we are still in a mode of actively seeking feedback on the simulator from users, as well as continuing to test the model. We have a high level of confidence that its behavior reflects the best available science. We plan to remove the "beta" distinction once we have incorporated the feedback, completed more testing (and made the necessary improvements), and submitted the resulting simulator in a paper to an academic journal for peer review and publication.

We're also working to improve the land sector of the model to better account for nature-based solutions and include more impacts like jobs and air pollution.

You can learn more about how we build confidence in the overall behavior of the model via the Reference Guide or our recording of an En-ROADS Confidence Building Webinar.
